Quenching Extreme Thirst: 60,000 Liters Daily for Rajasthan's Wildlife

Our Journey: From 7 Friends to a Community Lifeline

It started simply in 2021. Seven friends from the Pipad region couldn't ignore the suffering of animals during the intense heat, especially with the challenges of the time. Seeing animals near collapse from thirst near 16 Meel Bavarla village spurred them into action.

On March 7, 2021, fueled by compassion, Ashok Bishnoi (Police), Prakash Bishnoi (Nursing), Shravan Ram Bishnoi, Rajendra Bishnoi, Bhajanlal, Arun, Kishanaram, and Prakash Isharwal laid the foundation for Jeev-Jantu Premi Bandhu Sanstha (Animal Lovers Friends Group).

Tackling the Crisis: Our Daily Commitment

Fresh Water

We deliver 50,000 to 60,000 liters of fresh water every single day using tankers. This immense effort is crucial, as the water is often consumed within hours.

The Cost of Survival

Providing this essential water costs over ₹2,50,000 per month during the peak summer season alone

Building for the Future

Recognizing the unreliability of natural sources, we have started building permanent water tanks in open areas, ensuring a more stable supply. We also maintain and fill numerous existing water troughs (kheli and jalkund) across 35 villages.

Food & Nourishment

Hunger is another threat. We ensure birds don't starve by distributing on average 30 Quintals (3,000 kg) of grain every month

Medical Care & Rescue

We step in during health crises. During the devastating Lumpy Skin Disease outbreak, our members mobilized, spending ₹6 Lakh on essential medicines for affected cattle.

We also actively rescue injured animals found in distress and refer or transport them to higher centers for specialized veterinary treatment they wouldn't otherwise receive.

Greening the Land

A healthier environment supports wildlife. Over the past four years, our members have planted more than 8,597 trees, contributing to ecological balance and providing future shade and sustenance.

Powered by People: ₹49 Lakh Raised, ₹47 Lakh+ Utilized for Animals

This entire effort is fueled by the generosity and dedication of our community. We have raised ₹49 Lakh entirely through contributions from our supporters and members, often coordinated through simple tools like WhatsApp groups.

Over ₹47 Lakh of these funds have been directly spent on saving lives – providing water, food, medicine, funding rescues, building water tanks, and planting trees.
